Program Lead

Meet Dr Muhammad Kamran

Dr Kamran is an agricultural scientist and data analyst who leads Data Experts 360 and its Ambassador programs from Brisbane, Australia. His own journey runs from a small village in Pakistan to a fully funded PhD at The University of Queensland.

Today he works as a Data and Business Analyst at Neogen Australasia. His career has taken him through veterinary practice, dairy training, microbiology, lecturing and research, always with the same aim: turning complex science into knowledge that students, farmers and communities can use.

FLYING SCIENTISTAUSTRALIA

Current Role

Now a Flying Scientist in Australia

Dr Kamran is a current Flying Scientist. Flying Scientists are early and mid career researchers who travel with Young Science Ambassadors into regional Queensland for community science, technology, engineering and maths events.

The program exists because too few science events happen outside South East Queensland. It is delivered by Wonder of Science with the support of the Queensland Chief Scientist, and takes working scientists to the young people who would otherwise rarely meet one.
